REFORMED (& REFORMING)
God alone saves. Christians do not (and cannot) earn their salvation: it is a wholly unmerited gift from God. Man is saved through faith alone, by grace alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone, in accordance with Scripture alone as the sole infallible rule of faith and practice. We cannot attain or retain our salvation through good works; rather, good works are the Christian response to God's gift (Eph 2:10). We are committed to the Truth of Scripture (as were our brethren during the Protestant Reformation) and to constantly reforming our understanding to be ever more in-line with the Scripture.
scripturally submitted
We embrace the doctrine of Sola Scriptura: all truth necessary for our salvation and spiritual life is taught either explicitly or implicitly in Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17). God's word is also sufficient, making the man of God "complete, equipped for every good work." Finally, Scripture is the ultimate authority for the Christian. These truths inform our preaching (which is expository), teaching, governance and relationships.
quote-left
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
Upcoming Events
Hang tight while we look up scheduled events...
Give to creekside
Giving is a practical expression of our worship to God. We don't give because God needs anything; He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and can raise up children to Abraham from stones to worship Him (Matthew 3:9).
Instead, God is interested in those whose hearts are loyal to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9), and who give to Him from a cheerful heart (Exodus 25:2; 35:5; Proverbs 11:25; Acts 20:35; Romans 12:8; 2 Corinthians 9:7).
